Songs of spring, in a distant land
Melodies of joy, fade away easily
Waning smell of flowers, bereft of desire
The bridge between us...crumbles slowly
Deep roots salvage, a dying tree
Something lives on, buried in the sand
Hope leaks slowly from an old pail
Everything of you in me…decays
Nights wake up, with a hint of desire
Dark clouds scatter untended stories
Midnight lingers on, unyielding to twilight
Longing for you ….fritters away verily
Barren memories of a troubled past
Distant mountains mumble to the clouds
Westerlies caress your unkempt hair
My melancholy poems… un-yearn for you
